About the Institute:
Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT-V) is set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India as Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament (IIIT PPP Act). It is setup as a Not for Profit Public Private Partnership (PPP) model by Government of India with other partners. The other partners in this project are Government of Gujarat, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI), Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The Institute was established in the year 2013. At present, IIIT-V is operating from its temporary premises at Government Engineering College (Gandhinagar) till the time its new campus is made operational at Vadodara, Gujarat. 50 acre land has been allotted at Dumad (Vadodara). Construction at site is likely to commence soon.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara - is established to cater to the emerging needs and opportunities and meet economic challenges being thrown by the incessant IT revolution.  It is aimed at providing future candidates who shall become a precursor in the field of IT. A Governing Council consisting of distinguished people from Academia, Industry and Government preside over the governance of the institute.
The details can be viewed at our website.

The Institute aims at evolving strong research programmes in a plethora of areas where IT shall provide a common link with profound emphasis on development of technology and its application.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering

The programme is designed to make a strong foundation in CSE that includes electronics and hardware. Computer science courses are introduced in the early semesters while non-IT courses in the later stages. IT workshops are specially designed courses allowing the students to have mastery in the use of the latest software technologies. The courses in mathematics, sciences, engineering and humanities enable students to explore the wider applications of technology.

B.Tech. in Information Technology

Software engineering is a form of engineering that applies principles of computer science and mathematics to achieve cost-effective solutions to software problems. The software engineering curriculum places primary emphasis on the technical aspects of building and modifying high quality software systems. This programme is designed to forge a strong linkage with the IT Industry, which will take up research and development projects for the industry and play a key role in developing ICT applications for the masses.

The institute senate, based on the feedback received from the stake holders, updates the curriculum periodically.  To check for the latest curriculum visit us at www.iiitvadodara.ac.in

Rules For Change Branch:
At the end of first year, a merit list based on the student performance opting for branch change will be prepared.
Maximum 10% of the actual intake may be allowed a change of branch and the total number of students so allowed should not be more than 10% of the actual intake of new branch.
